Baldwin Celebrates Back-to-School, Love of Learning

Baldwin kicked off the 2024-25 school year with an all-school assembly that focused on this year’s theme for the year - Love of Learning - which reflects the continued commitment to the School’s mission. “Creating an educational experience centered on the joy of knowledge, curiosity in discovery and critical reflection on the world around us will cultivate a lifelong passion for learning in each and every one of our young women, inspiring them to pursue knowledge for its own sake,” Head of School Lynne Macziewski shared in a message to the community.

 

Baldwin’s senior leaders were also asked to speak on this year’s theme. Click here to read what Love of Learning, means to them as it applies to friendships, academics, athletics, arts and service!  

 

“Baldwin continues to be at the forefront of best practices and educational initiatives,” said Ms. Macziewski. “The year ahead is one of great promise and exciting initiatives here at Baldwin. We’re ready to make it the best one yet as we nurture a lifelong love of learning in every student!”

 

The community then gathered in the afternoon for a Back-to-School celebration for the whole family. Students and their families enjoyed food trucks, face painting, bounce houses, games and more! In addition, they cheered on our Soccer Polar Bears, as Baldwin hosted both Haverford School and Shipley in a soccer doubleheader.
